Pleyel Piano Fundraiser
December 1, 2015 7:00PM-9:30PM

Julia Siciliano and violinist Sonia Lee will be presenting a program designed to showcase the rich sound of The Scarab Club Pleyel piano including Debussy, Beethoven, Schumann and Chopin.
The Scarab Club’s Pleyel piano is the star of the event! Hear beautiful music and help raise money for the continued care and maintenance of this historic French instrument built around the 1870s. This is the same make of piano that was the favorite of Frederic Chopin, Saint-Saens, Ravel and other famous pianists throughout their careers! Founded in 1807, the Pleyel Company recently ended its 200 year history of making outstanding hand-built pianos, when it closed its doors in 2013.
The Scarab Club is extremely lucky that a very generous music and art lover decided to donate this instrument to the Club in 2014.
Delicious foods and drinks will be served between the two concerts.
Admission at the door is $15 and $5 for students.
Just call the Scarab Club at 313 831 1250. Tell your friends - this will be a great way to introduce them to the Club and to chamber music.
