SEEKING THE SPIRIT OF OLD SPAIN: ROBERT HENRI AND SPANISH THEMES
Speaker: Valerie Leeds, Independent Curator

She has served as adjunct curator of American Art at the Flint Institute of Arts, Michigan, and prior to that held curatorial positions at the Orlando Museum of Art, the Tampa Museum of Art, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Educated at the University of Rochester (BA), she pursued graduate studies at Syracuse University (MA), and received her PhD from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in American art and architecture. She has organized many exhibitions at various institutions around the county, and has published, and lectured widely on a variety of subjects in American art.
