The Scarab Club is looking for committee and board members, as well as new and returning members and volunteers. The Scarab Club is an enduring home for the cultivation and celebration of the visual, literary and performing arts in Detroit. In welcoming all drawn to creative expression and artistic excellent, we aim to foster a stronger, more vibrant arts community.
Members of the board are expected to commit up to 10 hours per month over a term of 3 years, with possibility of re-election to two terms of 3 years in length. This is an unpaid, volunteer position.

We seek a mix of cultural, racial, gender, professional, and geographical diversity for the board. The SC board of directors collectively and ideally should be a mix of members who have experience in working with diverse communities, arts administration, law, finance, public relations, communications, organizational development and grant writing.
