IN THE AIR:
SC PLEIN AIR CHALLENGE EXHIBITION
Paint from 8 am - 4 pm
Exhibition in the SC Lounge:
July 21-September 8, 2018
Reception: Saturday, July 21, 5-8 pm | Free and open to the public
Last year the Scarab Club hosted IN THE AIR--its first plein air exhibition. More than 50 artists signed up to accept the challenge to paint or draw an original work of art between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm. When the artists returned their work, it was installed in the lounge--wet--and we all celebrated at the reception! It was a great community effort, and wonderful to see easels set up throughout the city with artists painting landscapes and cityscapes. In fact, it was so much fun we've decided to do it again on Saturday, July 21st!
The Scarab Club invites artists to participate in its 2018 IN THE AIR exhibition. The exhibition will showcase work which has been painted between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm on Saturday, July 21st. There is no entry fee for this exhibition.
