The Scarab Club invites submissions for its annual photography exhibition. It is an unthemed exhibition, open to all artists 18 years or older. Works may also include video, mixed media and alternative photographic processes. No pieces larger than 5' x 5'.

The purpose of the 2018 SC Photography Exhibition is to recognize the diversity and achievement of artists whose work shows creativity of concept, excellence of design and expertise of media; to display these works to regional audiences and to be an educational opportunity for students.
Millee Tibbs’ work derives from her interest in photography’s ubiquity and the tension between its truth-value and inherent manipulation of reality.  Tibbs is an associate professor of photography at Wayne State University. She holds an MFA in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design. She is the recipient of two MacDowell Colony fellowships, as well as multiple national and international artist residencies awards. Her work has been published and exhibited internationally, most recently at Pingyao International Photography Festival, China, and at the George Eastman Museum, NY
Participation is open to all artists 18 years or older.
Scarab Club members and full time students pay a discounted entry fee of $20 for up to three images; Entry fee for all other artists is $25 for up to three images; Up to three additional images may be submitted, at $5 for each additional image.

The Scarab Club is supported in part by awards from the Kresge Foundation, Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, Fred A. and Barbara M. Erb Family Foundation and the National  Endowment for the Arts.
