The Scarab Club invites submissions for its annual photography exhibition. It is an unthemed exhibition, open to all artists 18 years or older. Works may also include video, mixed media and alternative photographic processes.

The purpose of the 2020 Exhibition of Contemporary Photography is to recognize the diversity and achievement of artists whose work shows creativity of concept, excellence of design and expertise of media; to display these works to regional audiences and to be an educational opportunity for students.

JUROR
Tom Stoye is an established social documentary photographer from Detroit, Michigan. His primary interest, in photography, is using the camera as a narrative tool to capture in-depth, socially relevant stories derived from his personal experiences while engaging the city of Detroit and its people. Spanning four decades, Stoye’s body of work offers honest representations of the complexities and evolving stories that make up his hometown. His work can be found in the collections of the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Library of Congress. In 2019, Stoye was the recipient of a Kresge Artist Fellowship.
